F6F
Hellcat by Randy Byers Powered by a .91 four stroke and covered in Royal Blue and Dove Grey Ultracote. Other features include pneumatic retracts, hand formed aluminum gear doors and flaps. Randy says, "The aircraft flies very well, and is very fast, but with full flaps it will slow nicely for stable landings. This is definitely my favorite aircraft of all the ones I own or have owned. The Hellcat is the best." |

P-38
by Roy Warren Roy is from "down under" flying with the SWARMS in Bunbury, Australia. His P-38 is powered by OS .50 SX's and weighs in at 11.5 pounds with retracts and 10 servos. Roy writes "My concern for its flying ability was unnecessary because on test day, I lined her up at the end of the runway, opened up the throttles and she took off and climbed (a little steeply) beautifully straight and level. A little down trim was all that was required for level flying at around half throttle. Sounds great with the twin 50's. Thanks for supplying such a great kit of the aircraft I've always wanted to build and fly." |
