The P-82 was introduced in 1945 as a long range escort fighter and high altitude interceptor. Even though it didn't see a lot of combat, it set the longest nonstop record for fighter aircraft by flying from Hawaii to New York; 5,O51 miles.

 

 THE KIT

The P-82 has a one piece wing with the fuselage tied together by a 1/3 leading edge section and the horizontal stab. A sleek and unique twin.

 TEST PILOT NOTES:
