The Zero was undoubtedly the superior dog fighter in 1941, at the star of WWII. The Zero faced US planes with better armament, self-sealing fuel tanks, armor shielding around the cockpit as well as squadron team work.

The box frame fuselage construction with a stress skin foam core is becoming revolutionary. Modelers are surprised at how fast these short kits build.
